Aviation Medical Information
Hello, my name is Dr. Andrew Wallis, I have been a General Practitioner for 18 years, obtaining my GMC registration in 1991. I have always been interested in flying and passed flight training and gained my private pilot’s license in 2010.
I have been an Aeromedical Examiner (AME) for 6 years. I would like to think that I am friendly and approachable. I will always endeavour to explain the process of obtaining a medical certificate to the applicant, and make sure that the process is as seamless as possible. After all you want to be flying not jumping through hoops.
I have currently passed my Class 1 Advanced Aviation Medicine Course at Kings College, London.
I am now awaiting approval from the Civil Aviation Authority in order to start practicing Class 1 aviation medicals.
Dr. A. Wallis MRCGP AME LAPL
