The Practice offers Antenatal care with a resident midwife at the surgery and Postnatal care. Please ask at reception for more information.
Dr Wallis has a minor operations clinic on a Thursday, you must be seen by a GP first and then reception will book an appointment.
Smoking Cessation Clinic
Smoking can seriously damage your health. For advice and assistance in giving up smoking contact the surgery to book an appointment. Our Health Care Assistant runs this clinic and would happy to take new referrals.
Cervical Smear Tests
We pride ourselves with the best record of performing cervical smears in Warwickshire for the past three years. Tests are offered to all female patients between the ages of 25 and 64. These are performed by our Practice Nurse by appointment. All women are advised to have regular smear tests - three yearly for woman between the ages of 25 and 50 and five yearly between the ages of the 51 and 64. We operate an efficient recall system for all our patients and are very proud of this.
Non NHS Services
Certain services provided by your Doctor are not covered by the NHS and you may be asked to pay a fee. Examples are pre-employment medicals, private medicals, private sick certificates, insurance claims, fitness to drive medical, private medical insurance claims and holiday cancellation claims and Pilot medicals . Our fees are in line with the recommended BMA rates.
If you are going abroad remember to stay safe and get vaccinated. At Alcester Health centre we have a very experienced and friendly GP led Travel Clinic.
